Heat Recovery and Heat Pump Chiller Design

July’s JBU event will be focused on the design principles of a heat recovery and heat pump chiller design to utilize waste heat from chilled water cooling systems.

 

Join us on Wednesday, July 31st, from 4-6pm for an informative presentation.

 

The session will focus on the following areas:

 

  • Differences in heat recovery and heat pump chillers

  • Design principles:

    • Simultaneous heating & cooling loads

    • Piping and hydronic accessory considerations

    • System needs when simultaneous loads are not available

  • Energy saving benefits

  • Applications

  • Cost considerations of these systems

  • Lessons learned

  • Questions & Open Discussion

 

This session will be presented by Rudy Caffall from Johnson Barrow Oregon.

PDH certificates will be available for PEs who need them.

 

The session will be followed by a social hour with tacos, beverages and plenty of good networking opportunities!
