August’s JBU event will be focused on the decarbonization of buildings in pursuit of net zero energy design criteria. The session should be of interest to Consulting Engineers and Design Build Contractors designing electric based solutions for domestic hot water and heating hot water systems. The conversation will discuss the industry drivers for demanding electric based solutions, with presentations from Colmac WaterHeat and SHARC Energy Systems on the application of their technologies.
The session will focus on the following areas:
·
Advancement of heat pump technologies
Air source, low ambient air source, and water source heat pump water heating technologies
Wastewater energy recovery
Integrating distributed condenser water systems with both technologies
Maintenance requirements
Applications
Cost considerations of these systems
Lessons learned
·
· Questions & Open Discussion
PDH certificates will be available for PEs who need them.
This session will be co-led by Mitch Dec from JBO, Brian Culler from Colmac WaterHeat, and Trevor Funk from SHARC Energy Systems.
